Shipping Policy and Procedures

Cost

Tidal Gardens ships coral orders next day service via either Fed Ex or DHL. The cost for shipping is $50 for the first ten corals and $10 for each additional ten corals. If the buyer has a shipping account through a company and would prefer to have that account directly charged for the actual shipping charges, that can be arranged. Pease notify us in advance if you would like to use a special shipping account.

Preferred Days to Ship

Generally, Tidal Gardens ships corals on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Thursday is not ideal because if for some reason the Friday delivery is delayed, the package will sit until Monday, and such a delay would greatly increase the risk of the corals dying during transit. Often times, the delivery delay is due to bad weather where shipping companies can deny insurance payments for damaged goods as a result of the delay. Upon request, we will ship corals on Thursday for Friday delivery, but it is not recommended. Before shipping, Tidal Gardens will verify a delivery date that works for both the company and the customer.

Winter Shipping Policy

Shipping corals during extremely cold weather can be an obstacle because corals require relatively warm water for survival and outside temperatures can dip well below freezing. Tidal Gardens provides heat packs in the winter free of charge, however there are some cold weather conditions that are so severe we will recommend delaying the shipping date. Such instances are when the outside temperature is below 0 degrees F or if there is a blizzard in our area or the destination that is likely to cause a shipping delay.

International Shipping Policy

At this time Tidal Gardens only ships to the continental United States.
